Born in Wellington, educated at Nelson Boys College. Travelled overseas before returning and becoming a qualified electrician, Mark subsequently established his own business and enjoyed the people contact and providing individual solution for clients.
In 1995 relocated to Auckland. Started his career in Real Estate in Parnell and completed AREINZ qualification.
Mark joined the UP team in 1999. Together with his partner Melinda Jones (something of an icon in the cosmetic industry) they reside in Ventnor Rd Remuera.

Having been actively viewing the local market over a period of 3 months, we first met Mark at an open home we attended and were impressed with his approach, his knowledge of the property and his follow up. Mark will be our agent we decided.
Our house was auctioned and the preparation for the auction was done in the most professional manner. We had large numbers through the property and a lot of follow up was required. Mark was the eternally positive cheerleader of our house sale process, while remaining rational and realistic about the feedback from open homes and viewings. Always working for us and available to potential buyers at any time of the day or night, he juggled our weekly "state of the nation" meetings to fit with our busy work and family schedules.

I would only deal with Mark as my agent if I was buying or selling houses in Remuera or Parnell. He has intimate knowledge of the areas which is just so helpful when making a decision. We first met Mark when we attended an open home a few streets away from us. We had no interest in selling or buying but we attended the open home to get a feel of where the value of market is presently at.
