IS YOUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT PART OF A LARGE CHAIN?
Amidst the fallacy that bigger must be better, we are often asked why we haven’t sold franchises and expanded. There is no doubt that would be a profitable exercise and increase the profile of the brand, but does it provide a better experience for customers and make for a better business?
Let’s ask another question. Is your favourite place to dine, part of a large chain of restaurants? Does the vehicle you aspire to own, have a large market share? The answer to both is probably no. Why? Because quality and volume generally don’t sit well together.
We have rejected the pressure to grow for growth’s sake and made the choice to deliver the best possible real estate experience. In short we have not allowed the growth model to dilute our culture and the promise we make to customers. We are a values driven team focused on building something greater.
